The European project SafeCloud, Secure and Resilient Cloud Architecture, received a positive assessment in its second year of activity, as part of the European Commission's evaluation, in November, in Brussels.

Last week, SafeCloud Technologies, a start-up created to commercially exploit key results of the SafeCloud project, was at Web Summit, one of the largest technology fairs in the world, which was held in Lisbon from 6 to 9 November.
Many businesses and individuals are migrating their data and applications to computing and storage environments in the cloud. However, this raises enormous problems concerning how to keep information confidential.
The European project SafeCloud was mentioned in the Portuguese media. Francisco Maia, from INESC TEC, Project Coordinator, was interviewed about the SafeCloud Technologies, a start-up created to commercially exploit key results of the SafeCloud project. SafeCloud's start-up is for the second time at Web Summit, the largest tech conference in the world, which is being held in Lisbon, November 6-9, 2017.

The SafeCloud project meeting was held in Tallinn, Estonia, from 2-4 October. The main topics were the organisation of the third year of the project, as well as leveraging knowledge and technologies beyond SafeCloud. Thanks to Cybernetica for hosting the meeting.
